To create a unique and memorable event that would appeal to a wide audience, both live and virtual, Karate Combat 37 combined the energy of a live crowd with the unlimited possibilities of a virtual environment.
Karate Combat 37
Revolutionizing hybrid broadcasts with cutting-edge technology and dynamic environments
Both our virtual art department and volume control team leveraged the latest in video production techniques to create a hybrid broadcast that blended the best of both worlds.
For the Holiday themed event, our creative team designed a virtual environment in Unreal Engine that was both chaotic and festive. Santa’s helpers made the naughty list when they ran amok in the streets and took over the pit. The detail in the virtual environment provided a visual experience that was both exciting and memorable.
When the innovative use of CG creates more than one reality, the visuals do not disappoint. Set extensions and engaging 3D content blending in with physical props capture both audiences near and far. Our volume control team made sure that the transition from physical to virtual elements was spot on.
The event was a huge success, attracting a sold-out live audience and millions of viewers on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and Karate.com. This record-breaking hybrid broadcast showed that live events can be both dynamic and visually exciting, even when limited by studio space or the capabilities of physical environments.
